we talked a bit on the forum about mercenary contracts. Popping into this thread to provide a suggestion. Indeed, the only alternative for the player is to not use his trait at all, as something will always be overwritten (as trying to use the player's ability first will just get it overwritten by the AI-no matter what, somebody is having their trait unfairly cancelled). That is basically an exploit that is guaranteed to accidentally happen in many or most battles. The player then activating his strong shield taunt ability afterwards completely overwrites this by modifying the enemies with: (agent_set_damage_modifier, ':cur_agent', 95), Because it seems not to have occurred to the VC devs that after the AI lord does his warcry that has this effect: (agent_set_damage_modifier, ':cur_agent', 103), They can't do the better, protective version of the shield taunt.ДЄlso.it is clear that Strong's shield taunt, granted by high ironflesh, is the best trait. They either Warcry for a 3% damage bonus, or they shield taunt for a 6% speed bonus. I can't be sure of that, but at least I don't see anything to turn it off here (the warcry loading timer seems related to the animations).ДЄI lords have a worse selection of traits. I think activating the trait once at the beginning of the battle should make it last the whole battle. Shield taunts have been reported as broken at the VC support forum, but my guess is that is just the animation, not the bonus. Strong's shield taunt gives a 5% damage penalty to all of your enemies. Tough's shield taunt gives a 10% movement speed bonus to all your troops. Leadership trait's warcry gives all your troops a 5% damage bonus (it does not affect morale, online speculation to the contrary)
